Read below for her amazing Bio
I first started dancing with my mam in 1998. She would take me along to her dance class & at first I didn’t have a clue – thought it was way too hard! She has been my inspiration and even though she is now blind and doesn’t dance as much as she would like she tells me that every time I get on the floor I’m dancing for her.
I’ve always liked to keep in shape and did run Keep Fit classes in the early 70’s when I was still living in the UK. However, dance is my first love.
I’m originally a Geordie from Tyne & Wear but now live in the south east of Norway about an hour from Oslo. Started my first class in September 1999. I did my instructor training in Edinburgh, Scotland and in the 12 years I’ve been teaching have achieved many wonderful things.
Have competed in the UCWDC Norwegian Championships 2001,2002,2003 took 2nd place in Intermediate.
Masters In Line World Champion 2006 Novice Silver
Masters In Line World Champion 2007 Intermediate Silver
Masters Choreography Comp 2008 1st Place for ‘Rocky Roads’ Improver
World CDF Norwegian Championships 2008
Choreography comp 1st. & 3rd Place
Norwegian Master 2003,2004,2005,2007
Crystal Boot Award nominee 2008, 2009, 2010
Categories: International Instructor, International Choreographer, Improver Dance of the Year
Was asked by Linedancer magazine to do an intermediate workshop at the CBA 2008 where I taught my dance ‘Identified’. My dance ‘Leaving On Monday’ was nominated for Improver Dance of the Year 2010.
Really excited about being part of the Nuline family. When I found out Alison was behind it I just had to come onboard! She was one of the first instructors we ever had do a workshop in Norway and I’ve happy memories of our weekend.
If you ever want a break please come & visit – I’ve got loads of room since my two sons moved out!
Take care & happy dancing!
